About the Journal

The International Journal of Geoscience and Environment (IJGE) is a peer-reviewed, biannual, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in geoscience and environmental sustainability. The journal is managed by the Faculty of Geoscience and Environment at Hormuud University and operates under an established editorial structure to ensure academic integrity and quality.

IJGE adopts an international and interdisciplinary approach, welcoming contributions across a wide range of fields, including soil science, climate change, geophysics, hydrogeology, geographic information systems (GIS), and environmental studies. It publishes original research articles, review papers, and technical case studies that contribute to advancing scientific knowledge and practical solutions.

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and scholarly excellence. The journal follows a Gold Open Access model, making all published content freely accessible worldwide under a Creative Commons license.

The journal is published twice a year and accepts manuscripts in both English and Arabic, supporting global academic participation and regional inclusion.
