Information For Librarians
We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As well, it may be worth noting that this journal's open source publishing system is suitable for libraries to host for their faculty members to use with journals they are involved in editing (see Open Journal Systems).
We encourage research librarians to list the Hormuud University International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (HUIJMS) among their library's electronic journal holdings. As an open-access, peer-reviewed journal, HUIJMS carries no subscription cost, making it a free and immediately accessible addition to any institutional collection.
Open Access — No Subscription Required
HUIJMS provides immediate, free, worldwide access to the full text of every published article at no cost to readers or their institutions. There are no subscription fees, paywalls, or embargo periods, in line with the journal's commitment to open scholarly communication and to expanding access to research relevant to Sub-Saharan Africa and the developing world.
Licensing
Published articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. This permits libraries and their patrons to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to the full text of articles, and to reuse content for teaching, research, and other purposes, provided the original authors and the journal are properly credited.
Editorial Quality and Publishing System
HUIJMS operates a rigorous single-blind peer review process, applies a text-similarity screening threshold (maximum 25%) to safeguard originality, and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct for research and publication ethics, including clear correction and retraction procedures. The journal is published using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Preservation and Long-Term Access
The journal's editorial team is committed to the long-term preservation and availability of its published content. Librarians interested in archiving arrangements, digital preservation partnerships (e.g., LOCKSS/CLOCKSS-type services), or indexing and discovery integration are welcome to contact the Editorial Office directly.
Recommending HUIJMS to Your Institution
Librarians are encouraged to add HUIJMS to their institution's electronic journal lists, discovery services, and open-access journal directories, and to inform faculty and researchers in relevant disciplines — including economics, agricultural and environmental sciences, education, public health, and the social sciences and humanities — of the journal's scope and free availability.
