Information For Librarians
We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As well, it may be worth noting that this journal's open source publishing system is suitable for libraries to host for their faculty members to use with journals they are involved in editing (see Open Journal Systems).
We encourage research librarians to list the Global Journal of Business and Economic Innovations (GJBEI) among their library's electronic journal holdings. As an open-access, peer-reviewed journal, GJBEI carries no subscription cost, making it a free and immediately accessible addition to any institutional collection.
Open Access — No Subscription Required
GJBEI provides immediate, free, worldwide access to the full text of every published article at no cost to readers or their institutions. There are no subscription fees, paywalls, or embargo periods, in line with the journal's commitment to open scholarly communication and to expanding access to business and economic research relevant to Somalia, East Africa, and the developing world.
Licensing
Published articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. This permits libraries and their patrons to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to the full text of articles, and to reuse content for teaching, research, and other purposes, provided the original authors and the journal are properly credited.
Editorial Quality and Publishing System
GJBEI operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process, applies a four-tier text-similarity screening threshold (manuscripts above 40% similarity are rejected outright) to safeguard originality, and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct for research and publication ethics, including clear correction and retraction procedures. The journal is published using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, managed by Hormuud University's ICT Department in coordination with the Centre for Research, Innovation and Industry Engagement.
Preservation and Long-Term Access
The journal's editorial team is committed to the long-term preservation and availability of its published content, hosting all content on the Hormuud University OJS platform with regular automated backups. GJBEI plans to register with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for distributed digital preservation, and authors are encouraged to deposit accepted manuscripts in institutional repositories and open-access archives such as Zenodo and SSRN. Persistent identifiers (DOIs) will be assigned to all published articles following ISSN registration. Librarians interested in archiving arrangements or indexing and discovery integration are welcome to contact the Editorial Office directly.
Recommending GJBEI to Your Institution
Librarians are encouraged to add GJBEI to their institution's electronic journal lists, discovery services, and open-access journal directories, and to inform faculty and researchers in relevant disciplines — including economics, business administration, finance and banking, accounting, marketing, and logistics and supply chain management — of the journal's scope and free availability.
